Paul Sparrow oversees the Newseum’s Web site, social networks, interactive exhibits and video production, including “The Future of News” a ten-part series for public television. [1] He was a key player in the design and building of the new Newseum and is the curator for the Internet, TV and Radio gallery. He has developed a wide range of interactive exhibits including a group table experience using gesture tracking technology.
Sparrow came to the Newseum in 1999 from the Discovery Channel where he produced the Eco-Challenge mini-series. He also worked as an executive producer for The Learning Channel, Fox and public television. He began his television career at KPIX, the CBS affiliate in San Francisco. An Emmy-Award winning television producer, he created more than 300 hours of prime-time programming, hundreds of syndicated shows, 10 documentaries and several network specials.
