Martha Pallante is a Professor of History at Youngstown State University and is also the Chair of her department. This past January, her department became the managing agent of an Ohio Historical Society's site, the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor. The 60,000 sq.ft. facility houses a museum and an archival collection. She did her graduate work at the College of William and Mary and at the University of Pennsylvania. She taught at Penn State Behrend and Hiram College before joining YSU in 1991.
Pallante is current on sabbatical and her project focuses on the development of digital resource collection in cooperation with YSU/Maag Library, the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor, and the Amherst Historical Society. it will containphotographic images, drawings, blueprints, payroll and worker records spanning the period between 1660 and 1977. The community and its collections will be in dspace on Maag Library's server.
